Offering end-to-end photography and graphic design services to both businesses and individuals.
I started Renise Black Photography and Design in a very natural way. To begin, I have a decade of experience working in Information Technology the most recent being database administration and report analysis. Along the way I have always done graphic design and photography both personally and professionally, starting with a business I had briefly right after college. I have always enjoyed working with photographs and graphics to edit or create my own.
This business is the culmination of all my experience because I can offer full spectrum photography and graphic design services. Not only can I do creative photography, but I know how to store, access and secure the data. I understand how to present the images in print or on a web page as a logo, header or background. I also know how to edit or create entirely new images graphically to manifest the vision in my head.
Below is an outline of what I bring to the table. It encompasses the entire spectrum of image development. This enables me the flexibility to control and present my work in any way I chose. It also allows me to be able to take on projects that are ancillary to photography and graphic design.
I have always had a love and appreciation for photography ever since I got a manual camera from my uncle in the late 80’s. I then bought a Minolta Maxxim 3xi in the nineties, which I am told by Wolf Camera that it is only worth $5. Today, I still own the Minolta, a Nikon D-SLR D40, a Sony Cyber-Shot and the camera on my iPhone. I use all four depending on the situation but the most used ones are the Nikon and the Sony. The Sony because it is so quick to use and carry. The Nikon for more serious photographs like portraits and microstock photography.
Over the years I have come to love especially taking pictures of children because their faces are so honest and open. You know what they are thinking right on their face. The camera reveals right away how they are feeling and what mood they are in. Amazing!
I am an unabashed Ansel Adams fan. I think he was a photographic genius and I could not think of a better example to model my work after. There will be a lot of content that discusses and references Ansel Adams because I think that he was brilliant in so many ways, especially his techniques. I am absolutely hooked on his work and find endless pieces of his teachings that can be used today just as well in the digital age.
